January 26, 2011- GOD as BUILDER
Only if I make the choice to let him build me, it takes trust and giving him the key of my car or not it going to cost me more than it takes.
For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God. (Hebrew 11:10)
Seven things that we should know about building our life/family/career/business
1.Building process is a peaceful process.
You know that my father, David, was not able to build a Temple to honor the name of the LORD his God because of the many wars waged against him by surrounding nations. He could not build until the LORD gave him victory over all his enemies. 4 But now the LORD my God has given me peace on every side; I have no enemies, and all is well. 5 So I am planning to build a Temple to honor the name of the LORD my God, just as he had instructed my father, David. For the LORD told him, ‘Your son, whom I will place on your throne, will build the Temple to honor my name.’ (1 Kings 5:3-5)
2.Building process is a expensive process.
But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? 29 Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you. 30 They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’ (Luke 14:28-30)
3.Building is a unique process.
We should not compare with anyone else. It’s our own journey and our own life.
4.Building process is a team process.
We need support and prayers to be successful from people around us.
5.Building process is a professional process.
Plan well and weigh all the consequences.
6.Building process is a hard process.
I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 3 You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. (Revelation 2:2)
7.Building process is anointed process.
Unless the LORD builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city. (Psalm 127:1)
